Many of us are struggling with high inflation and increasing cost of living. Prices are skyrocketing and many people do not know how they will get through the winter this year.
While we cannot promise much, we can help you navigate the help that is out there. You might be missing on the support that you have not known that is available to you, and which, at a time when every penny counts, might provide at least some reassurance.
£200 HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT FUNDS:
The government is giving local authorities £1.5 billion in total to distribute over the course of 18 months among those who they determine to be in the greatest need of financial assistance. Although £200 is the headline rate, the amount that each person receives may differ between households depending on their circumstances because the calculation is left up to each authority’s discretion.

£400 ENERGY BILL DISCOUNT:
Each household will receive a £400 energy bill rebate to help offset rising costs. This will take the place of the anticipated £200 universal loan that was revealed in February. The amount is now doubled and made into a grant, and clients are no longer required to repay the money. From October, households will receive £400 in energy savings directly.

£650 ONE-OFF PAYMENT TO LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLds:
Another initiative to help the UK’s most vulnerable citizens deal with the rising cost of living was unveiled with this one. More than eight million households receiving Universal Credit, Tax Credits, Pension Credits, and Legacy Benefits are eligible for the grant. You don’t have to apply for it. Instead, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will deposit the funds directly into the qualified individuals’ bank accounts. There will be two payments made. The first will take place in July, while the second will happen later in the fall.
£300 PAYMENT TO PENSIONERS:
Those who turn 66 or older between September 19 and September 25 will qualify if they are over the state pension age. Once more, pensioners are eligible for the payment without having to apply. Along with the winter fuel payment, it will be paid to them directly in November or December. As a result, they will receive twice as much assistance as normal. Normally, families receive £200 to £300 to cover their winter energy expenses.

£150 TO INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING DISABILITY BENEFITS:
All qualifying recipients of disability benefits will be paid the grant. The payment will be paid immediately to people who are qualified, like with all the new cost of living grants. There is no need to apply.
