AGM 2023 Success!

Despite some travel disruptions, we had a great time yesterday and we want to thank you all for coming together to celebrate IBAA and the achievement of our organisations, our advice workers and our volunteers. 

We elected a new Board of Trustees, outlined the details of our Business Plan and Membership Prospectus, and opened IBAA officially to new applications. And, not only did we hear about IBAA’s journey as a partnership, but we were also joined by the amazing lineup of guests, including Islington MP Jeremy Corbyn, Councillors Una O’Halloran and Ernestas Jegorovas-Armstrong, Cloudesley Grants Manager and a Trustee of Voluntary Action Islington Kevin Turner, Head of Partnerships at Islington Council Modi Abdoul and many more!!

It was wonderful to hear encouraging words of support for BAMER groups in Islington and commitments to keep fighting for systematic changes, equality and justice. 

For those who could not make it, you were missed! But no need to worry as there will be more opportunities to be a part of our growing community in the future.
