IMECE supports and empowers Turkish, Kurdish and Cypriot Turkish women and Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic And Refugee (BAMER) women to improve the quality of their lives. Their vision is a society where all BAMER women and girls are able to pursue their dreams and enjoy their lives free from all forms of violence, discrimination and prejudice.

Evelyn Oldfield Unit

EOU aims to provide, develop and coordinate support services for marginalised and disadvantaged individuals and their communities – primarily those from migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds. We are committed to the needs of BAMER communities throughout the UK.

Eritrean Community UK

Since its inception in 1987 as a charity, the Eritrean Community in the UK (ECUK) has been supporting the most excluded and disadvantaged groups of the Eritrean community to improve their lives and encourage successful integration through advancing education and access to mainstream services in the interest of social welfare.

KMEWO

KMEWO provides specialist Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) services and crisis intervention to some of the most vulnerable minoritised women who are survivors of Domestic Violence (DV) and Harmful Practices (HP), including Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Forced Marriage and “Honour” Based Violence (HBV).

Islington Bangladesh Association

Islington Bangladesh Association’s main concern has been to engage with those members of the community who are poor and most at risk of social exclusion in learning and networking activities, so they can regain confidence, raise health awareness and improve health inequality, acquire new skills, broaden their horizons and access the support services they need. 

Islington Somali Community

Islington Somali Community (ISC) is the main organisation working with Somalis of all ages in Islington and neighbouring London boroughs. Our aim is to improve the wellbeing of the Somali population and to work towards the full integration of refugees in the local community.

Community Language Support

Community Language Support Services (CLSS) assists Islington residents with limited English language skills in communicating with local organisations and people. The vision of CLSS is to transform the lives of people in the community so that they overcome the barriers that stand in their way to living healthy lives. They provide free, confidential and impartial advice and guidance in various areas (such as welfare benefits, housing and immigration) to clients from East Africa and other BAMER and Arabic-speaking community. They also deliver health awareness sessions and group activities to bring people together, improve their awareness and access to services.
